Después de haberlo leído en voz alta y de comprobar la traducción si lo necesitas, te explicaré el uso y la pronunciación de la letra R ya que la pronunciación cambiará según su ubicación en la palabra y qué letras tenga al lado.
After you have read it out loud and checked the translation if you needed to, I will explain the use and pronunciation of the letter R as the pronunciation will change depending on the position in the word and what letters are next to it.
Mi prima Rosa quiere hacer cambios en su casa, pero no tiene mucho dinero. Ayer en el trabajo ella tuvo una reunión con su jefe y recibió una buena noticia. Ha sido promovida en el trabajo. Ahora sí tendrá dinero para convertir el patio en jardín, y con piscina.
My cousin Rosa wants to make changes to her house, but she doesn't have much money. Yesterday at work she had a meeting with her boss and received some good news. She has been promoted at work! Now she will have money to turn the patio into a garden, including a swimming pool.

Do you understand the different sounds of the letter R?
La letra R tiene dos sonidos. Un sonido fuerte y uno suave. El sonido suave es parecido al sonido en inglés. El sonido fuerte es aquel que a aquellos que tienen como lengua materna el inglés les cuesta mucho pronunciar. Pues es un sonido más fuerte y más largo. La lengua se curva un poco más.
The letter R has two sounds. A hard sound and a soft sound. The soft sound is similar to the sound in English. The hard sound is the one that native English speakers have a hard time pronouncing. It is a louder and longer sound. The tongue curls a little more.
¿Cuándo se usa el sonido fuerte? When is the hard sound used?
La R es fuerte… The R is hard…
Cuando va al principio o al final de una palabra. (e.g. Rosa, subir) When it goes at the beginning or end of a word. (e.g. Rosa, subir)
Cuando va después de una vocal -ar-, seguido por otra consonante. (e.g. convertir) When it comes after a vowel -ar-, followed by another consonant. (e.g. convertir)
Cuando la palabra lleva doble R (-rr-) (e.g. carro) When the word has a double R (e.g. carro)
¿Cuándo se usa el sonido suave? When is the soft sound used?

Cuando va entre dos vocales. When it goes between two vowels.
Dato importante: La doble R (-rr-) solo se escribe entre dos vocales. Nunca al principio o al final de una palabra.
Important fact: The double R is only written between two vowels. Never at the beginning orat the end of a word.
